A good week. Starting to warm up a bit and my times have started to be faster. I'm not necessary going for that, but I am trying to improve my form. I have a pair of Minimus shoes for the summer, so I'm starting to try to adapt my running form now so it's not such a shock to me later. I can't believe it's been 7 weeks already. I'm almost below 1000 miles! Maybe on Monday I'll get under that milestone (pun intended...).

Run 19

Did a shorter, higher intensity run because I needed to do it over my wife's lunch break. I pushed it hard and I did it in a personal record pace! It was cool to do 4 miles under 30 minutes! I'll do another shorter run tomorrow (although not pushing it so hard) to make up some miles from today and last week. I didn't do all the math, but I have to assume after being behind about 12 miles last week, I'm running behind on my total. Check out these numbers! Interesting that I did almost 2 miles less and had a higher calorie burn.

Run 18/Week 5 Recap

Another hard run. This one, however, was away from my normal stomping grounds. I was in Viroqua for my grandmother's funeral and needed to blow off some steam. It's in the hilly driftless region and it had snowed the day before. Add hills in with a few inches of snow and you get one slow, tired Bryan.

This week was a dumb week. Only 2 runs in and they were both really hard. Between the bad weather and the busy travel schedule, it made it really hard to make time to run. I guess nobody ever said it was easy to make time for that, though. I'm not officially behind on my miles, though. However, I feel that I'll easily make them up as I get into summer.
